My path in life started out in the sciences, I was educated as a Civil Engineer in Israel and was practicing as a Professional Engineer in Vancouver Canada. In late 2007, inspired by a life-changing trip to South East Asia, I made a decision to part from engineering in order to pursue my passion for photography. My passion started with street photojournalism of ‘in the moment’ shots (Published in National Geographic). With time I learned to combine my scientific background along with my artistic inclination to create Fine Art Architectural Photography and namely my ‘Bridges’ Portfolio, of which images have won twice first place in the International Photography Awards (2008, 2011) along with numerous other recognitions.
In my work, I try to convey the harmony of the ‘man made’ and nature. Inspired by my deep appreciation for engineering by solving human problems with natural design, the photographic precision is important in doing justice and giving voice to this creative genius. Like with any work of art, I try to capture the attention of the viewer for a prolonged momentary ‘ah ha’ revelation of their own. Reflecting innate power and splendor for others to experience builds cultural appreciation for art, science, and the environment.
