Well, fact is that my last SLR camera was Nikon F90 wich is analog.
After this camera I go for the analog Leica M, this was a first step to simplification. With the upcomming of digital I stay with the M system.
Few days ago I grabbed a Nikon D700. No way : too much menu items, options, big complicated screen.
My only answer was to go for the P mode and shoot. Thanks to the P mode !
But why is there such a complicated menu, why all these options ? I cant see the need in this.
That's why I love the Leica M system, or the ALPA : I'm taking photos, that's all :
Focus / Speed / Aperture / Iso
are the 4 main options I have to decide for. All the extra stuff is BS in my opinion.
To conclude, I know there are beautiful and efficient CaNikon systems on the market, but they are definitively not for me.
