I have been a full time UK based professional photographer for over 20 years now. I specialise in architectural and landscape photography and love working with new and creative techniques involving both digital and film cameras.
I have a passionate interest in the natural world and how man interacts and effects it, as a result many of my projects involve a man made element. Often my images will depict the fascinating way the natural environment reclaims back the landscape after years of intrusion by industry.
At present I work with many photographic mediums and formats including toy cameras such as the Holga, Polaroid and conventional film cameras, including Zero Image Pinholes and vintage Hasselblads and Nikons in addition to the latest digital cameras.
My main style and preferred way of working has always been large format photography and whilst I do still use large format film, twelve months ago I introduced a Linhof Techno and Phase One digital back into my workflow. I love the contrast of the slow and deliberate process of view camera photography compared to using smaller lighter and more spontaneous cameras.
I am fortunate to be represented by a number of major agents and art dealers including Getty Images and my work appears in UK and international publications in addition to private and commercial fine are collections across the world.
Since introducing photographic training and workshops some 4 years ago, I have developed a great interest in sharing my photographic knowledge and skills with others. I now run a regular programme of both group workshops and individual One 2 One courses across the UK and I have been fortunate to co lead workshops with some top UK photographers.
I continue to be fascinated by the developments taking place in photography and find great satisfaction watching others develop an interest in all aspects of photography. On a regular basis I share techniques and advice on my blog, were any questions you may have are very welcome.
My 500px portfolio represents the diverse range of photographic projects I am fortunate to work on. thanks for taking the time to explore my images and your comments are always very much appreciated.
Please feel free to join me on either Twitter or Facebook and full details of my latest projects as well as all my training courses are available on my personal website.
