I have 2 loves. Jesus Christ and Photography. God, being the most important thing in my life, the source of my existence and to whom all I owe obviously comes first. I am a messed up, imperfect human being, but Jesus died for me, paying the debt I owed to God because of my sin, so that I could have a relationship with Him again. I am constantly humbled by this fact. Also, that I am blessed enough to be given an eye for good composition, and that I have a job where I can afford to buy all the expensive equipment you need to make my shots. I discovered my love for photography in December of 2008. Influenced by my Norwegian friend Arnfinn ([link]), who had a DSLR and showed me what it could do, I bought my first DSLR (a Canon Rebel XS). Since then I have really dove head first into landscape photography and a bit of wildlife photography as well. I feel like I've learned very quickly. This is due to reading a great book "Understanding Exposure" by Bryan Peterson that introduced me to the basics of exposing digital photographs as well as some hands on time with some great teachers, Stephen Oachs and Brian Rueb, from Aperture Academy ([link]). Their workshops have taken me to some amazing places and their personal instruction has helped make me the photographer I am today.
