Turns out photography was something I loved my whole life, but the passion wasn't fully ignited until I got into digital. I had an Olympus OM10 back in the 80's, but working with silver halides just didn't seem quite right. Distracted by my dedication to helping youth through technology and raising my own kids, it wasn't until my kids were older and I could devote some time to my own enthusiasm that I rediscovered my love for photography thanks to the purchase of a Canon 40D.
Now shooting with a 7D as well, I am expanding from available light to off camera flash techniques and have a wide range of interests, from natural and urban landscapes, to flowers, macro, portrait, street, events, wedding and performance. I have been assembling small collections of friends and fellow photo enthusiasts for photo shoots for the last 2 years under the auspices of the Toronto Shooters Club. My photos have been published in Now Magazine, the Globe and Mail, Schmap Toronto and used in corporate marketing materials at Kids Help Phone, Soulpepper Theatre, Factory Theatre and Lorraine Kimsa Theatre.
