I like to think of myself as a storyteller. All my life I've worked in advertising and design. As a photographer, I like to bring these disciplines to bear on my work - always trying to see a human angle, a design angle and try to bring out the emotion.
I like to use both digital and film - and believe both have a role to play in photography. Film has a unique aesthetic and it forces me to slow down and think. Not having the safety of an LCD screen to peer at after the shot makes me think before I shoot.
