As I go through all the snapshots I've found...you know, the ones you still have in the yellow Kodak envelope that you get when you receive them back from the developer...I wanted to share one of my favorites.
While I don't think it's technically the best picture I've taken, it has a lot of meaning for me. This image was taken one night, while I was wandering the streets of Tokyo in December, 1990. This was in the Ginza area, at the Matsuya Ginza store.
To me, it captures what I felt those last days in Japan...cold, wet, lonely yet surrounded by millions of people. Friends I would never see again, old friends I would see when I got back to the U.S. This picture brings back a lot of memories, which is why I really like it.
