Quitting a good paying job to do something you love isn't easy, well actually yes is. For the first half of my twenties I was an audio assistant/audio engineer working for The Toronto Maple Leafs, Raptors, Blue jays to name a few. I was having a great time doing it but felt something was missing. I would never dream of leaving the job though. In Oct 2009 my heart decided to give me a little push. I was diagnosed with complete heart block(heart beats too slow) and was fitted with a pacemaker. This made me unable to work around the large audio equipment I used on a day to day basis. It was a shock to leave but in the back of my mind I was really excited. I made a promise to myself that life was too short and I had to do something that I loved. So I enrolled myself in Sheridan College's Applied Photography program and have been working my way through school and life as a photographer.
