Like the bird on the wire and the drunk in the midnight choir.....I have tried in my way to be FREE! I shoot for the pure pleasure of it. I have learned mostly by looking at the work of others and trying to figure out why they chose that composition and later, the processing. There are so many ways to present a shot once you have captured it in the camera. Sometimes it is hard to choose what tells the story best....leave it as shot or reprocess it into something either fanciful or by altering the lighting, create a different mood than it was in "reality". There are discussions about "keeping it real" vs alternative processing. I leave that door wide open and rather than choosing a particular "signature" style, I try to adjust the photo to create a mood for that shot which is most pleasing.....and....sometimes...it works.:) “Every artist dips his brush in his own soul, and paints his own nature into his pictures.” ~Henry Ward Beecher.
