Japanese artist. The truth, mysteries, and vibrancy of life and nature are expressed abstractly in his work.
In 2013, tmymtur began work on a sound project, and he announced the sound creation “湧声-Yusei” produced solely by layering his own unique voice over 5,000 times, including ultrasonic waves within the voice that cannot be heard by the human ear. Also, in Asahi Art Square, audio equipment will be installed that is capable of emitting high-frequency transmissions above the audible threshold of 20 kHz. He will attempt to produce a sound performance that creates an acoustic space through the use of voices alone. Also announced was “呼応-Kooh” an anthology of remixes by sound artists like Taylor Deupree, Christopher Willits, and Stephan Mathieu. Furthermore, in the same year, he will also produce work as a photographer. He has won acclaim for his highly original work, and his exhibitions and works in other media abroad have attracted widespread attention from all over the world. In 2014, he will continue to transmit these performances both in Japan and overseas and has announced the sound installation “特異点-Singularity” which transforms a giant space equipped to accommodate 10,000 people into a sensory experience for a single person.
