Photographer / Composer / Sound artist
He began composing for guitar at age 15; he subsequently composed music for commercials and film, as well as for performances at major festivals such as the FUJI ROCK FESTIVAL, METAMORPHOSE, and the NAGISA MUSIC FESTIVAL. In 2013, he became involved with the sound project tmymtur. He released the sonic artwork "湧声 - Yusei", a composition consisting only of his own voice layered over 5,000 times, including ultrasonic waves not audible to the human ear. At the same time, he also constructed in Asahi Art Square audio equipment capable of emitting sound waves at high frequencies in excess of 20 kHz, beyond the threshold of human hearing. He strives to create sound performances that create sound environments solely from the human voice. In the same project, he also released "呼応 - Kooh", an anthology reconstructed with sound artists Taylor Deupree, Christopher Willits, and Stephan Mathieu. In the same year, as a photographer, he created artworks using only bubbles and string. While they were made with inorganic material, the works were praised for their mysterious atmosphere that overflowed with life and won the devotion of audiences from all over the world. In 2014, he created "特異点-Singularity", a sound installation designed to be experienced by a single person, in a huge space that could accommodate an audience of 10,000, as well as artworks that used an SEM (Scanning Electron Microscope) to depict the intricacy and magnificent beauty of a microscopic world. He continues his pursuit of life, the wonders of nature, and truth in the depths of his heart.
