Having grown up in the culturally and geographically diverse city of Vancouver region of Canada, Vanessa often ventures into her surroundings to record and reveal what others might not notice: moments of happiness, reflections of inner beauty, hidden textures and colourful harmonies... Photography has led her to the mountains of Nepal, Bolivian slums, and the dense urban fabric of London. While travel is a great source of inspiration, Vanessa is equally adept at capturing the essence of her own back alley. Her ability to identify the genius loci has enabled Vanessa to enjoy a career as event and portrait photographer.
