Newbie here. Not just to this website but to the fancy world of dSLR photography.
First and foremost, I'm a graphic designer. I've learned a lot from graphic design that has helped me better understand image output and how to shoot/edit for great prints, not just web photos.
My first mistake as a newbie photog -- too high of an ISO setting! What a nightmare. Second mistake -- not making sure my lens is clean before each and every shoot. In case you're wondering, I'm self-taught.
I love shooting RAW and editing RAW. My future goal -- macro photography, primarily because my cat is only so fascinating and well having multiple pictures of her is only going to give her a big head, haha.
The diversity shown on this website, is incredible. The range of abilities and work is gorgeous - thank you ALL for sharing.
