California is beautiful.

Her surrounding land has always been of great interest to me, including agriculture, rivers and lakes, foothills and my favorite, the Sierra Nevada mountain range. I've hiked over some of the local foothills and backpacked through her mountains including Giant Sequoia National Monument, Golden Trout Wilderness, Mineral King, Sequoia National Park. I've also explored along California's central coast and coastal mountains including Big Sur and Ventana Wilderness, Eastern Sierra from Bodie down to Lone Pine, Alabama Hills and Cottonwood Lakes. It was the love for our land that inspired me to capture it with photography so I could share the beauty with others.

A very good friend of mine, Michael Hansen (website), has been an inspiration to me and my photography and is also my shooting/backpacking buddy.
