Aleš Komovec was born in 69 in Kranj where he still lives. He finished High school for media and graphics in Ljubljana and works as an educated printer and graphic artist. As an amateur photographer he is engaged with photography for more than six years. He likes all the genres of photographic art but most of all he likes capturing motifs from nature. For some time he is publishing his photos on web galleries. Since 2009 he is also a member of Photographic society of Janez Puhar Kranj. During this time he took part on several group exhibitions, had six solo exibitions, more than 40 competitions on which he gathered several awards and acknowledgements. Among these award for best author on International salon of photography (Nature 2010) given by the mayor of Kočevje city and FIAP salon best autor on Dubrovnik international photo salon 2012 should be pointed out. In the year 2012 he was awarded with AFIAP title from Fiap, and KMF(candidate for master of photography) title by the Slovenian photographic association.
