"Black and white, on the other hand, immediately presents us with a new way of seeing. By taking away colour, the image becomes an artistic interpretation. Visual elements like tone, texture, form and shape are revealed anew, where before they were overpowered by colour." Andrew S. Gibson
"Street photography is a way of life not a way to make money."
"This is also the real secret of the arts: always be a beginner. Be very, very careful about this point."
Shunryu Suzuki Roshi
Eight miles high and when you touch down
you'll find that it's stranger than known;
signs in the street that say where you're going
are somewhere just being their own.
Nowhere is there warmth to be found
among those afraid of losing their ground;
rain, gray town known for it's sound
in places small faces unbound.
Round the squares huddled in storms
some laughing some just shapeless forms;
sidewalk scenes and black limousines
some living, some standing alone.
The Byrds, 1966
