My first picture was at age 7 of my family relaxing while camping. After seeing how I had captured a cherished moment, I was hooked and have been using the camera to capture the world around me ever since. I moved from southern Texas to Denver in my early teens. While I cherish my southern roots and visit my friends and family frequently, I’m a Colorado gal now. I love hiking, biking, snowshoeing, snowboarding and photography.

The world is a playground and my eyes are always attracted to the colors and patterns in life. Shooting photos is exciting and I like to capture the simple beauty of ordinary objects I encounter in everyday life. When I head out on a photo shoot, my goal is to capture images that have meaning to me. When a person looks at my work and appreciates the beauty of the image as much as I do, then I know I have communicated my artistic vision. I truly love capturing moments in time that will live forever so others may enjoy the same moment.

my process
My process of creating a memorable photo is simple. I take the photograph, crop the image and I may make small enhancements as I feel necessary to perfect the image I have created. I do not overly manipulate my photography. When you look at my photographs, you are seeing what I saw through the lens of my camera at that moment in time. It is my way of communicating how I see in the world around me. My ultimate goal is to share a moment, a smile or a sense of wonder with the viewer through my photography.
