I have always had an interest in photography and video. I've been dabbling with both for most of my life until I got my first DSLR camera. Then I was hooked. As a self-taught photographer, my interests have lead me into portraiture and some commercial photography work. Most recently, I took product shots for a line of cabinetry hardware. The photos were used on a major retailer's web site. In addition to portraits and commercial work, I enjoy shooting nature and wildlife or HDR landscapes and architecture etc... I find that High Dynamic Range compositing can add a unique look and feel to an image whether it's subtle or surreal. Scenes that would be impractical to light evenly can look stunning when shot and processed with HDR techniques. All that detail normally lost in the shadows and highlights by the limitations of today's cameras can come through. It allows the photographer to simply capture the scene the way they see it or manipulate a photo into a unique work of art. HDR won't save a bad composition or subject, but it is one more tool in the artist’s belt. Please contact me for in-home, or outdoor, individual and group portraits!
