Although my interest and experience in photography stem from the film days, I can only be called an enthusiast at best! There are so much to learn and so many interesting aspects to explore, and I try to use my spare time from day job or business travel opportunities to hone my skills. Most importantly, to find and document unusual views and beauty from daily life. My other passion is music, or more precisely, record collecting. I find there’s great commonality between them. A piece of good music or photograph always starts with good composition that has balance, harmony, contrast, and meaningful content. Like my preference in music, I’m leaning towards slightly abstract and “neo-classical” approach of photography as well. From my film days, I tend to ask myself “why do I take this photo?” before I press the shutter for practical reason and it sticks. I know it’s working against the visual-oriented, fast-paced digital world, but I want to take it slow and write something about each photograph I post here if I could.
