I have been taking photographs for almost as long as I can remember. I can remember getting my first camera, the hours in the darkroom, the joy in sharing images. I remember the developing tanks, the enlargers, the chemicals, and the magic of the prints emerging in the red light.... All that has changed. We now sit in front of large screens and manipulate pixels...but in the end, it's all the same. It is capturing photons like sparks of life in an emotional, aesthetic, impactful way and sharing them with friends and family and complete strangers.
