How can I be a part of 500px Prime?

  • Enable your 500px Store to submit your photos AND so that we can pay you.
  • Complete the licensing paperwork by accepting the licensing agreement inside your 500px Store. You will also be able to easily access and upload any necessary releases from there.
  • Follow our Twitter photo desk @500pxPrimePD to get updated, real-time requests for photos from buyers and editors. Use these tweets as a source of inspiration and a guide to seasonal industry trends, so you can produce profitable photos.

What’s new?

  • Making your photos more discoverable. Buyers are now able to request 500px photos to be licensed for commercial use through 500px.com and 500px Prime.
  • Faster transactions with buyers. Once your licensing form has been processed, buyers can access your photo immediately and finalize the transaction with no delays. This means you get paid sooner!
  • Clearer status updates in your 500px Store, so you can keep track of your photo’s submission process.

Submissions can take a while to be processed, because have so many to go through. Don't worry, we'll email you as soon as there's an update, and you can track their status at 500px.com/store too. Thanks

Hi,
Thank you very much to all 500px team to make it happen !
I've just noticed that photographies can be freely downloaded in a low resolution by clicking on "Download a comp"... But the files downloaded have a size of 900 pixels for the larger side of the pictures... That's means it still allow anyone in the world to be able to download and print the pictures without anyone knows it, with a size of 7 cm (3 inches) for the larger size with 300 dpi (quality needed for printing photos) or until 15 cm with 150 dpi... so i will recommend it, please, to arrange the larger size of pictures that is available to freely download by a size of no larger than 400 px... And the filigran 500px is very very easy to remove it, i know it put at up by esthetism but any designers in agencies or amators their home can erase it or cropped it to enjoy the pictures without getting anything for the photographer...
So, please, i beg you to think about these little things...

Anyway i like 500px and the challenge you make for photographers... Keep it going on, we like it !
Thank you 500px team and 500px Prime team !

I've noticed that although many of my photos have been accepted once I go to 500px prime and search for and find them they say 'Photo not immediately available' what exactly does that mean?

We're working on some indexing issues in the backend. The status in your store is accurate and the file availability should be fixed in Prime this week.

The first and the second photo in the post are both with the same ID and linked to "Turn to clear vision". I'd like to choose the second one with magnolia flowers.
Could you fix it, plz, to avoid the nameless and author-less photo.

Oops, sorry about that! I've edited the link. The magnolia photo now points to the correct link. Thanks for spotting it and pointing it out, Emil!

So far I received five responses for shots that had been requested, all negative. (And I don't know why, either, though I guess it might be because they were not taken with a professional camera.) But when I go to the status page, four of them show up under Accepted. Will they or won't they be included in Prime? Thanks.

Hi Sandra! If they show Accepted in your Store settings, then they're Accepted! Congrats :-) We're only rejecting photos in extreme cases, such as pornography, illegal (copyrighted), or very low quality. You can check all of your photos' statuses and submit more photos at 500px.com/store if you'd like. If you have questions about your submissions, or Prime in general, email help@500px.com. Thanks!

I'm still waiting on approval of my photos which I submitted almost a month ago. There's no feedback/communication about the status. Perhaps I'm the only one that experienced this, but, I'm sorry to say, my confidence in 500px as a marketplace for selling my photos has decreased significantly.

Hi Tjeerd! I'm sorry about the delay. Submissions may take sometime to process, as we have a huge collection to work through. You can check your photo's status at 500px.com/store anytime, and we'll update you via email as soon as yours have been processed.

This is all very well, but it would be interesting to know what are the chances that the photos of every single photographer will be bought? Likely very low.

Also there is a question about the status of licensing photos. At http://500px.com/store/licensing 5 of my photos are under the tab "Accepted", but at http://500px.com/settings/store status of these photos looks like "Processed". On the Prime for these photos indicate the status "Pending". It's all very confusing.

As we're working through the beta development stages, we've changed the labels. The old licensing page is now replaced with what you see in your Store settings.

Check out the FAQ here to see what the different states mean: http://500px.com/settings/store/faq#license-states

Email us at help@500px.com if you have any questions about particular submissions.
