My Philosphy on Art
Man will come to know of an existence with no words but only picture-books and digital technology--and I was a part of it. My interest in art is in its ability to communicate and in its subjectivity. A picture is not worth a thousand words because there are an infinite amount of interpretations among the billions of humans that may come to witness it. Art is nonsensical and meaningful, philosophical and concrete. Exploring how it can serve as an effectively powerful narrative and as a purely aesthetic object is a never-ending process that I take pleasure in.
My Philosphy on Life
Life is no fun if you worry about how people stop and stare at you. I live daily life as a carnival and indulge in guilty pleasures few others let themselves do. I can dress up like I'm from Europe in the Rococo Era while humming to Hanson's infamous "Mmmbop" as I ride the bus to a Harry Potter convention. Don't try to be cool if it doesn't allow you to dance to your favorite song. If I wanted to suppress who I was for what seemed more practical and accepted, I wouldn't have ditched pre-med for design. =)
