Once upon a time, I was a fine arts major in college, focused on sculpture and drawing. I had always wanted to learn to photograph well, but the prices of gear at the time were beyond my non-existent budget, so I stuck mostly to drawing. Several carreers and approaching two decades later, I find myself working my butt off in a job I love, without much time for drawing or sculpture, but with enough time to stop and take a picture here and there. I'm shooting mostly street and portraits with an Olympus OM-D E-M5 these days that I carry around in a work bag that actually allows me to carry the camera with me into the city daily (a Timbuk2 Snoop Camera Messenger; small) along with my 11-inch MacBook Air and all the bits and pieces I need for work. So now I'm looking. I'm stopping. And from time to time, I'm taking a shot.
I also take far too many pictures of my son, Jackson. But, really… look at him. He is one of the cutest kids ever. ;-)
