I acquired my interest and most of my training in photography from my father, who was a professional photographer in the 1950's. From him I learned the fundamentals of composition, light, and technical proficiency. I spent a few years in the late 70's and early 80's as the local smalltown pro photographer doing weddings, portraiture, sports, etc. before taking a hiatus for 20 years or so to raise a family and just be your typical snapshooting dad. A few years ago my younger brother reignited my interest in more serious photography and introduced me to the digital world and DSLR's, and I've been following my photographic muse ever since. By day I'm a mild mannered banker, but after working hours I'm likely to have a camera in hand or within reach.
My photographic interests are varied and include live performance (music, dance, sports) nature (wildlife, landscape), expository/journalistic (travel, events), people (fully, partially or un-clothed), and food. I've had work published in the Hill Country Alliance 2011 Calendar, Horns Illustrated Magazine, Texas Music Magazine, and several musicians' CD's and promotional materials.
