Happenstance

It was a Saturday and I was otherwise unencumbered. The only bad news was it was really overcast so I was afraid my most recent discovered locations would go un-photographed today.

But I was still happy to seek them out and hope for some light to show up during the dreary morning. Luck wasn't on my side as I drove from one location to another. I didn't miss the opportunity altogether as I did take the shots anyway. I knew it would be hard to find anything that I would add to my favorites list.

Just before noon the sun broke through I became a photo taking machine. By this time I was in the Dry Creek valley about ten minutes from my house. It's in the middle of a vast valley of wineries and always makes for great photo taking. The road, while paved, is very narrow here. It's quite an exercise in spotting the best shots followed by the closest place to park where the car isn't in the middle of the road.
