I am DeShaun Craddock, a self-taught photographer from Brooklyn, New York. As a child, I always had a curious fascination with cameras. However, I didn't get my hands on a camera of my own until 2003, just as digital cameras were becoming more common. Beginning with a simple point & shoot, I fed my curiosity by shooting casually. After some time, that just wasn't enough, and I needed more from my camera. I began digesting information about the technical aspects of photography, and by 2008, I picked up my first SLR and never looked back. I primarily shoot digital, but I have also incorporated 35mm film, 120 film, and Polaroid instant film into my repertoire. As a native New Yorker, I am drawn to cityscapes, particularly at night or during rainy weather. I also enjoy shooting live music photography. I currently maintain a photography blog to share my work and learning experiences, and my work has been featured with RAW: Natural Born Artists, where I was a nominee for Brooklyn's Photographer of the Year 2012.
