Traveling to the North Star

Published May 20th, 2012

Decided to take a trip to Minneapolis this weekend. Not only had the opportunity to spend time with a good friend and Frat Brother from North Carolina, I also reconnected with someone I grew up with in Teaneck, New Jersey who is a Professor at The University of Minnesota (we have not seen each other since graduating from high school - got to look way back in the rear view mirror to share that!).

I hit Route 80 North and East out of Lincoln Friday afternoon. Traveled non-stop through Omaha, Council Bluffs and Des Moines (heading North on Hwy, 35 at Des Moines). Had to make a pit-stop after 4 hours of travel in Mason City (Northern Iowa). Around an hour and a half later I saw the Minneapolis skyline Friday evening...

I post-processed all the images with Adobe Lightroom and Aperture (Macintosh). I also enhanced some of the images - not the live Jazz performance captures - with Photomatix (Macintosh).
