Shooting to thrill.
A Londoner, born and bred, Eachan J moved to the beautiful university town of Oxford in 2005 to pursue his scientific studies there. His passion for photography began in 2009, when he discovered a 1950's Akarelle viewfinder camera in his parents' attic, and was immediately intrigued by the purpose of the dials and knobs dotted about its surface. A little bit of research later, he had fallen in love with the photographic art.
Starting a PhD at the University of Oxford, he pursued his interest, investing in a Praktica MTL59 manual film SLR to develop his skills on film. Eventually, Eachan invested in the digital age while never forgetting the roots of both his training and also the art itself: he will use any type of film or digital process that suits the project or the client. Despite having no formal training, he feels his work stands testament to his able eye.
Fine art prints of Eachan J's work will be available to purchase soon.
