Dinesh Khanna is a Freelance Photographer for the last 20 years. A profession he took up after a 12 year long career as a client-servicing executive in advertising. During the last 2 decades he has been creating images for Advertising, Editorial and Corporate clients, besides traveling around India incessantly to pursue his personal photographic projects.
His latest Exhibition, “Growing up in India” opened in Nov. ‘11 in Mondavi Center, University of California, USA. Before that his work has been shown in Solo and Group shows in Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Bengaluru, Varanasi, England, Germany and USA. He has also done 2 Pictorial Books – “Bazaar” and “Living Faith”. These were a result of over a decade of traveling through the traditional markets and religious centers of India.
Besides commercial assignments for international magazines, advertising agencies and the corporate world, Dinesh is also currently working on a number of Projects, namely:
- Benaras – Everyday in Eternity,
- Earning Dignity - from Art, Craft and Trade,
- Mothers & Daughters
- Growing up in India
- Telling Stories – London, Paris & New York.
Dinesh is also a Co-Founder and Managing Trustee of Nazar Foundation, which he has been set up to promote Photography as an art-form. And is also a Co-Founder and one of the Creative Directors of the Biennale ‘Delhi Photo Festival,’ the first chapter of which was held very successfully in Oct. 2011.
