I’m David James, a self taught filmmaker and photographer based in Plymouth, Devon, United Kingdom. After a period of time in the wedding industry, filming videos for many happy clients, I decided to break away and return to full time employment. I’m currently producing some of my own projects as well as working alongside other filmmakers in the Southwest. After purchasing my first digital SLR camera in 2008, I decided to teach myself photography. At present I shoot mainly landscapes using High Dynamic Range (HDR) photography, but try to keep away from the artistic look that HDR can sometimes produce. My main concentration at the moment is learning the camera, lighting and composition techniques. My ultimate goal is too eventually capture a more natural photograph using the available light presented to me with a good set of ND filters.
