Born in The Netherlands, living near Cape Town, South Africa. Amateur photographer with a love for nature, especially plants and flowers. I discovered photography late in life (2010) but I am enjoying it tremendously. Unfortunately I do not get to travel much because of my work, so finding interesting things to photograph is a bit of a challenge sometimes. Most of my inspiration comes from the garden, and the nursery where I work. I have a special interest in succulents and cacti, which is evident in my photostream. Most shots are straight from the camera with only minor adjustments at times. I have not mastered Photoshop yet, so no fancy editing here. Not because I don't like it, I just haven't figured out how to do it!
