I don’t have the date marked on my “life” calendar as to when I wrapped my hands around my first camera – but let’s just say it was back in the good old Kodak Instamatic days!! – and what a time it was!..yes what a time.
From school playgrounds, ball parks to the local beaches and even our own backyard endless hours were spent taking pictures – I shutter to think about “quality” in those early pictures – but I was determined that an Editor from a big time travel magazine would call and I’d be off travelling the globe!..(well I’ve been travelling the globe but the phone call still hasn’t happen! lol)
Fast forward a few decades and a career of 34 years in television news production and I’ve found myself rediscovering an old friend.
Our travels have taken us to some of the wonders of the world – so why not pack along the camera – from the early purchase of 5 megapixels to Canon MarkIII it’s all been an amazing journey…and it’s far from over.
I haven’t stop learning – and I honestly don’t think any of us ever will when it comes to photography…enjoy the moment and capture it.
