Born and raised in a suburb of Boston, I am a founding member of the Red Sox Nation. After a first career in the US Army, I started over as an engineer in the private sector. Both careers have provided me the opportunity to see the world and photograph interesting scenes along the way. On my bucket list is a trip to the ancient cliff city of Petra, Jordan - I hope to accomplish that in 2012. My parents encouraged my interest in photography by giving me a Kodak Brownie Hawkeye for my 12th birthday. I still have it and all the other cameras I have owned. My first "real" 35mm SLR was the venerable Pentax K-1000. When I went digital, the choice of a Pentax was easy - I could use all my lenses from the K-1000.
My photography interests are varied from landscapes to architecture - macro to people and anything in between.
