Giovanni Chiaia aka Kiace, born in Bari (Italy) on 1981, is an engineer with a great passion for photography since he was eighteen, when he took photos with analogic cameras like Kodak 335 or Mamiya ZM...his first digital camera was a Minolta Dimage e201, but his first attempts to shoot in manual modes were performed with a Fujifilm Finepix S5600 when he was 22 years old. His first reflex camera has been an Olympus e-volt 410, with double kit Zuiko lenses 14-42 mm and 40-150 mm, which he still use in many situations. He loves to take natures and architectural photography, but he also likes the portait photography with a particular style...his favourites photographers are Francesca Woodman, Richard Avedon, Robert Frank, Alfred Eisenstaedt... Recently he starts to shoot using old m42 lenses with manual focus, in particular soviet lenses like Helios 44M-6, Jupiter 37A and Takumar 55 1.8; he is in continuos looking for discovering "new old" lenses...
