My first attempt to "Light Painting"

The weather was bad on Nice (French Riviera) today Monday 30th of January 2012.
So I decided to try to make another kind of photograph.
Yes, i decided to go with "Light Painting".
For the subjects, i took the "ice skating shoes" of my daughter.
Put it on a black square table (3 feets each side), install my Manfrotto 055XPROB tripod and attach the Nikon D7000 on top of the Midi Ball 498RC2.
I choice an aperture of f/8 and a shutter speed of 4', make the focus with the light on, then change to manual focus.
I release the shutter and immediatly after, open the LED lamp and begin to paint with the spot of the little torch until the shutter close.
