Thank you for stopping by and visiting my page. My love and passion for photography began in the seventh grade when I took my first basic photography class... I was instantly hooked. By tenth grade, I became aware of my gift and took every photography course I could until my high school graduation. I followed that with professional photography training at T. H. Pickens Technical School where I learned the technical aspects of photography to further develop my gift.
For over 20 years I've enjoyed photographing portraits of families, children, high school seniors and weddings. I've practiced photographic techniques in various films, mainly black and white before transitioning to digital images.
I also enjoy Fine Art Photography and I capture images of interesting and stimulating subjects. My favorites are abstract depictions of every day subjects that people generally overlook. I like to capture the intricate details of weathered objects that have taken on colorful changes over time. I'm fascinated by light and the way it plays off different types of materials, such as metal, stone and wood. I like to share my images with people who enjoy classic black and white, detail, texture, color, contrast, composition, shapes and forms, as much as I do. I hope you enjoy my vision.
I recently became a member of Colorado's Heart Gallery. Photographers for the Heart Gallery have the privilege of providing professional portraits for children waiting for adoptive families. This is one of many ways to share my love of photography and helping children in my community.
