I am a rabidly passionate landscape and night-sky photographer, skier, metal artist, and deep house DJ. I used to be a volcanic hazards researcher, and I've traveled all over the world looking at volcanoes and the communities that are built on them in harm's way. In 2008, I gave up that career and returned to Lake Tahoe, where I lives with my wife Kirsten and take photographs every chance I get.
