Impressive Aerial Workers

A new building is being constructed next to us in downtown Denver. Like most new buildings, one of the first things they do is get a semi-permanent crane in place to help with the construction project. Things must be booming in Denver because you see cranes everywhere downtown nowadays.

I had a perfect vantage point to watch this past Saturday (Dec 8, 2012) as these four workers (including several workers on the ground) put up this crane in about one day! These guys are fearless and it is amazing what they accomplished in a short amount of time.

The 5th Anniversary of 9/11 (2006)

Every year on the anniversary of 9/11, I am reminded of that tragic day and also of a trip I took with a business parter to a conference in New York City that coincided with the 5th Anniversary of 9/11 in 2006. After arriving at our hotel, we walked several miles to the WTC site. These are photos I took on that day.

The event is indelible for most Americans who can remember that day, but actually being at the site on a major anniversary of the event, left me weak in the knees, mad as hell, sad, and other emotions too numerous to explain – or that I can't explain. Never forget!
