This is just the beginning of my newest journey and my willingness to take moments to look around and see the beauty that can be - the light ignored - the darkness overshadowing. The human eye can capture so much, only to be remembered differently, mixed, warped into other memories or worse.. forgotten. The emotion may escape, the details dissolve. Photography can maintain that memory, can spark the smile, regain the emotion. This is my journey, my hobby, my desire: to capture the detail and bring forth the emotion and relive the memory.
These are my pictures. These are my moments. I don't shoot for money nor recognition, but for my own memories and choose to share what I see. I am simply a hobbyist with a passion.
That's the future. For now, I really gotta work on exposure settings! I mean really. And I wonder what this button does on my camera? Which auto-focus setting should I be using here?
I am a left brain techno-geek trying my hand at right brain activities. I have to strike balance somewhere...
For me, my life - this hobby - it is all pure hackerii
( it's pronounced 'hack-er-ee' or for us hillbillies, 'ha-ker-y'; it was simply a by-product of my more full name "Joe Hacker II" from a corporate travel system and gov travel rules resulting in every hotel I end up staying at now calling me "Mr. Hackerii". So, let's take the lemon, punch a hole in it, insert straw and make some instant lemonade! ... please, pass the sugar now? )
