I come from Pune, India. I am currently a grad student in an Earth System Sciences PhD program. My research, in simple words, focuses on studying how the freshwater from the continents influences the ocean properties and dynamics. Other activities that keep me busy the most are nature photography, hiking/ trekking, and playing mandolin. Other things that interest me, in keywords: films, books, History, Natural History.
I wish to live life as a nomad, travel to every nook and corner of the world, whereever life takes me. Tourist places don't attract me. (I was in Agra for 2 whole days, yet didn't bother to see the Taj. I don't intend to demean it, but I believe there is a time for everything). It's the beauty in the less popular, serene places which attracts me. A blade of grass, a fallen half dried leaf, a shining crystal of quartz, tiny details (which people miss while they race to the mountain top) intrigue me. For me the journey matters more than the end. the climb rather than the view from top.
