A picture is worth a thousand words ...
I have great respect for nature and support organizations that protect our natural environment from the disrespectful abuses of mankind. The Sierra Club and Natural Resources Defense Fund work tirelessly to keep the Earth in its natural state.
Photographers such as Art Wolfe, Galen Rowell, and Ansel Adams are models for those who not only capture terrific images but have done so in a way that engenders passion for those who are inclined to support the very natural places that we wish to preserve.
Galen Rowell relates that Ansel Adams wrote eloquently about the difference between external and internal photographic events. The most meaningful photographic styles are always a reflection of the internal. We react not so much to what a photographer sees, but to how he or she sees and renders the subject for us. Personal style comes from within, from a photographer’s unconscious and conscious choices. It is to this that I aspire.
As a resident of Boulder, Colorado, I spend as much time as possible in the natural world when I'm not working in the business realms.
