I class myself as an amateur photographer who started taking pictures using black and white film as a child in Australia with what would be classed as a toy camera now. Over the years I have used an old Praticka (Film), Fujica (Film), Olympus OM-2N (Film) and in last couple of years I have used a number of point and shoot film and digital cameras. I gave up photography for a number of years back in the 80's because of life direction changes. Then a short while ago I picked up the camera again when I was given a Canon 30D with lenses etc. It was amazing how good it felt to have a camera again. I love the process of learning new technologies, new programs etc. I love the fact that for me taking photos is now more about creating art than just taking a picture to remember a time or a place or that person we met. I am amazed at the fact I now see what most people would call mundane as something that could turn into a work of art I want to share.
