First of all, I want to thank you for stopping by.
Photography is one of my greatest passions, especially travel and landscape photography. Backpacking in the wilderness or camping in snow brings me relaxation and inspiration. Although I don't sell my images for money, I do enjoy the process of making images. I use Flickr mainly to share photos with families and friends. In other words, I do photography for fun.
I shoot both filme and digital. I love digital as much as film, but for different reasons. Digital is king when it comes to low-light photography, productivity, and convenience while film has its own unique feel, look, and texture. Besides, it's a lot more fun (to me) viewing a large-format slide on a light table than a 40MP digital image on monitor.
Therefore, if I am not in a hurry to produce an image, I often shoot film. Most of my landscape images are done in film (617 and 4x5), and I enjoy the slow process of scanning and making prints. It's like owning a farm vs buying from Whole Foods: both are good quality, but different experience.
Anyway, I look forward to meeting some great people here. If you have any questions, send me a message. Have a good one!
