An American expat living in Asia since 2002. After 7 years in Jakarta, Indonesia I now live in Manila, Philippines. IT Curriculum Director | Industrial Designer | Photographer |  Apple Distinguished Educator Asia has been my home for more than a decade. It is a land of exquisite beauty, exotic cultures, and fascinating people, all of which have been a continual source of inspiration for my photography. The people, culture and the land fill me with a passion to explore, to understand and to share. During my time here, I have seen the magnificence of destruction, the hope of rebuilding, and an astounding resilience, which is a testament to the people’s vitality and perseverance. My journeys often take me into areas of absolute poverty, yet smiles abound. Through my photographs, I strive to convey the positive aspects of the lives captured and the wide-ranging human experience. My photographs tend to explore the juxtaposition of the mundane and the exotic and seek the essence of what makes something beautiful. Vibrant colors saturate the landscape, and unimaginable splendor is found in the most unexpected of places. I hope to share Asia’s vitality and the simple allure of this breathtaking region.
