Juan Pérez-Fajardo (Madrid 1969), has a long experience in Photography as well as in 3D modelling and animation. In this sector, he began his career working for Disney Buena Vista and REM Infografica, but the desire of independence and creative liberty encouraged him to found in1995, together with some other young professionals, the company FLY MULTIMEDIA. Soon arrived acknowledgement of his work: The Sol de Oro prize in the Festival of Publicity of San Sebastian, in the category of multimedia. By that time, he conceived the extravagant idea that, as an homage to the science fiction, series B, he would finish giving rise to “El Ataque de los Zombies Adolescentes” (2001), his first short film of animation.
In 2003, after some changes in the partnership, he started THE FLY FACTORY and immediately directed his second short film: “Terminal, la venganza de Sothot” (2003). In parallel, he entered the world of infographic effects, so much for publicity as for movies.
“Hasta la Muerte” (2005), his third short film, has received near twenty prizes, both national and international. It was also nominated to Goya 2007 award of the Spanish Academia de Ciencias y Artes Cinematográficas as the best short film of animation.
As a photographer, he collaborates for different magazines and publications such as Rolling Stone, El País, El Mundo, Mondo Sonoro, Rock Deluxe, Revista 40 principales...
Among other prizes he won in 2008 the Second Prize in National Geographic (Spain) landscapes contest and the best nature photo in the Vila-Real contest in 2010. His photos of concerts can be seen in the permanent exhibitions of the Hard Rock Cafe of Madrid, Las Vegas and Alburquerque (New Mexico)
