Kirk Tuck is a portrait photographer who is also at home photographing food, commerce and technology. He works with state of the art tools and newly introduced LED lights. He works for clients like IBM, Dell, Motorola, Freescale and Time Warner, as well as smaller, locally headquartered businesses and advertising agencies, in Austin, Texas. His photographs been published in two best selling cookbooks, numerous magazines and countless ads. He is also an acknowledged photographic technology expert and the writer (and illustrator) of five bestselling books on the subject. His fifth book, on LED lighting for Photographers, comes out in the first quarter of 2012. His books are published by Amherst Media, one of the largest publishers of books on Photography in English. Kirk is based in Austin, Texas where he shoots portraits, headshots, food, events, ad campaigns and fun stuff, just for his own joy. He teaches workshops about lighting, portraiture and street photography and he welcomes clients of all sizes and from all categories. He loves to shoot portraits in the studio and out on location. Kirk is on the advisory board of the Photographic Department of the Austin Community Colleges and taught as a Specialist Lecturer in Photography at the University of Texas at Austin, College of Fine Arts.
