Don is interested in photography, amateur radio, RV'ing, Braves baseball, Saints football, bird watching and good food. He is a kidney dialysis patient, and does dialysis at home, with his wife as caregiver. Don had a food brokerage company for many years and called on the wholesale grocers in the state of Mississippi..He sold this business in 1982, and retired. Since then he and his wife have traveled around the USA in his RV seeing the country. When he had to go on dialysis in 2009, this stopped his traveling.
