Koushik belongs to a special Family which was very much over lightened with the blessings of Photography; His Great Grandfather Mr. S Ganguly was one of the greatest Pioneers of Photography. KC got his inspirations from his Great Grandpa and the result was KC’s keen interest gradually increased in Photography especially in Documentaries.
when he was in final days of Grads Father brought him a Fujifilm s2000HD, till the time he has shaped his hands with his brother’s P&S camera. KC’s interest grows with time and he is learning teckniques from net & Magazines very quickly.
Sir Rocco Saya from New York is a very special person in KC’s life. He met him in the end of 2010. The more KC’s getting closer to Rocco Sir the more he’s getting motivation from Him. Rocco sir is very experienced in this field, KC did Some Projects with Rocco sir on regular basis, e.g. Collborative Photography where both of them captures 2 different pictures comprising of 2 different Point of View and then finally those two become A single shot after comparing the differences. thus a bonding has been created between them. KC also met Rocco’s few friends like Kari Ponke, Elize Grunlingh through Facebook.”
Geographical distance never stood as a barrier between them, as they stay in two diff halves of the circle. Sir Rocco saya Gifted KC a Pro dslr Canon EOS rebel t2i in September 2011. KC cant even know how he express his feelings to ROCCO Sir. That was starting and KC never looked back and the life changes its color in good time. KC is one of the frontline Lens man in Rocco’s home production, “Celestial Blue (Photography and Cinematography)” and Rocco sir calls him My son Blue.
Apart from him One of the better Photgraphers in Nat Geo Sir Raymond Gehman also played a vital part in His career interest.
Two Special Fellow Indian Photographers Arghya Guha and Suvankar Sen made KC’s feel good in His colorful venture. Arghya Guha is a Professional Lensman who helped KC a lot in understanding the complicated things in simple manner. Suvankar is a very honest person who showed KC the path & how he had excelled in life.
In KC’s opinion ” Photography is such a strange art which follows the rules of Light and Expose the secrets of Darkness, which can be created only by hitting a small button with a steady touch to create some unforgettable memories to be cherished off”
