A state of mind!

Published October 30th, 2013

What you see is a result of what my mind has managed to perceive these last 17 months.
The color has disappeared and my world seems to be in a black and white state of mind.

Bless the souls of those who has left this world and may they never be forgotten.
RIP Hege! (my mother in law) The sorrow is hard to bear, but the memory of you is still strong! We all look forward to what the future has in store for us, and we know that you`ll be here watching us!

Waking up

Door bell.. Shouting... The clock??.. 06.56... It`s saturday morning..

Losing sight..

Scent.. Smoke.. Charging flames!.. What the hell happend?

Blurred

Paramedics, police, firemen, media, city officials, neighbors and curios people.. They all want a piece of me.. Where is my son? where is my fiance? where is my fiances little brother and sister? Oh.. They`re safe!

Wait a minute...
WHY is my mother in law still inside the house? In her bed..

contemplation

What went wrong? Was there anything I could have done? Should I had seen what was going on?

5

searching

This illustrates something I think is important to share with you.
If everybody takes the time to listen to the generation above us, you`ll find the inspiration and courage to search for the answers you are looking for.

Answers?

I think, I will never find that one answer that solves my issues and sets things right. But..

Salvation

I see land!!
I think I`ve found my way. Time will show what I`ve found. But I hope the colors will return.

Rollercoaster

This summarizes the emotional rollercoaster I`ve been trough the last 17 months.

Experienceing such a tragedy and trauma as my family did, has set scares that never will fade away and disappear.

It`s time to look for the good things in life.

Hope this story gave you something.

Kim--you have really let your soul be exposed here. Hoping the creativity and your passion for photography becomes a release to see some colour come back into your life. I , too, lobe B&W and this resonates with me deeply. Thanks for sharing and all the best to you!!

Not much to add to that!
Ufattelig sterk historie/virkelighet og veldig godt formidlet. Jeg kan ikke unngå å føle med deg i denne, og jeg ønsker deg gode tider framover.
