2012 - A year in review

2012 was a good year. Due to several trips I had the opportunity to make a lot of beautiful shots and also had the time to process some of those. As all pictures are the result of a self-learning process I really appreciate all the comments, votes and favs here on 500px.

The all new Canon EF 40 mm STM Pancake

Canon introduced its first Pancake Lens for its dSLR cameras. The Canon EF 40mm with stepper motor technology.

I took the lens outside and took a few shots. The shots are not processed aside from the standard Lightroom RAW Conversion.

The perfect Day

I took this picture during a one week vacation on Tenerife. It was one view you could get from the hotel bar. Each evening you could watch the sunset over La Gomera. Each day was different, some more cloudy, some without clouds.

This photo was taken on the fourth or even fifth evening I saw this sunset. The sun was burning behind the clouds with these beautiful rays of light. Fortunately, I had my gear with me this evening and I took this picture... and it was maybe the best shot of the week...
